Hello everyone! I hope firstly this is okay with the mods and secondly that the hiatus before these last few episodes has been treating you all well. I just wanted to let those of you know who are interested that I am starting a community called
bromance_love. It is a gen community for bromances on TV, movies, books, real life, etc.
I know for myself in watching Eli Stone utterly loved the dynamics between Dr. Chen and Eli as well as his relationship with Nate. And I think the Matt and Eli relationship was particularly funny and very well written and touching at times. Ha ha it truly fascinates me to no end. If you are interested, feel free to join, check it out and we're having an intro post HERE. If you have any questions, feel free to comment here or there!

OK guys, I have some news that will either cause tears or rejoicing, depending on your particular view of things.
Eli Stone will probably not be coming back.
No, that is not the news; most of us knew that, though some (me included) held a misplaced faith that ABC would see the error of its ways and pick it back up, or that another network would see the gold and grab it. No, the news is the reason that I'm so sure.
The cast members are already signing other contracts. Julie Gonzalo in particular.

Apparently she has been cast as the lead of a new NBC drama due to premiere sometime this year. Forgive me for being doubtful that she would reject such an offer in favor of what the networks view as a sinking ship, even if given the opportunity. And what would Eli Stone be without Maggie?
We can either be bitter about the loss of such a magnificent show, or we can be grateful that the cast are finding other opportunities to continue their careers. I know that every time I watch a performance by Jonny or Sam or Matt (no, I'm not biased ;) or Julie that I will think back on Eli Stone. It might even be a n inspiration to keep the show alive through fanfiction or discussion!
Anyway, I finally resigned myself to the likelihood that Eli was indeed dead to television. I found the news both depressing and encouraging. What about you guys?
